I'm Baaaack!!!

I remember when my husband and I moved to New Mexico in the late 1990's, we were newlyweds and after being married for two years decided to move in with his parents. The idea of moving from a place that I was born and raised in, Los Angeles to Albuquerque was like moving to Japan...lol. It was so foreign and an obvious culture shock. But back then my husband and I was so much more adventurous,  we couldn't just plant our feet in New Mexico we had a bright idea after being there for about a year to pack up a small U-Haul and mooove to Atlanta. {Smh} those were the days. Needless to say after the friends that enticed us to move there, with the promise of jobs, and a place to stay quickly bailed on us. With no money, almost stranded we called his parents and they graciously sent for us to come back to New Mexico. I told my husband if I moved anywhere else it would be back to my home to California. With that said our last move was back to California in 2000 and we've been here every since.  I say all that to say...I got the bright idea to start a totally new blog after growing this one for over the last 5 yrs and finally hitting 20k viewers...uhhhh, bad idea. So now i'm back with a new business venture (stay tuned), and fresh fashion and lifestyle content possibly a few interviews and personal updates. Thanks for hanging with me, I missed you but now I'mmmm Baaack!

Bridal {Bloom} Must Have Hair

I'm obsessed with bridal hair, up do's, chignon, waterfall, buns up, buns down, braids, loose curls, bangs, no bangs, you name it and I love it...well some of them! You have to be real careful when choosing wedding day hair, do a run through, don't wait til the day-of to experiment, do stick with your personal style, don't do something totally dramatic, do have fun, don't underestimate the importance of how your hair should look, do stay fresh, do't choose a style that is dated uh..spirals are so 90's sorry ladies, do keep it age appropriate and youthful. Spring {StyleFile} Wedding Edition

Now that NYFW{New York Fashion Week} is finally over...I'm sorry but I get overwhelmed salivating over beautifully designed clothing that I may never afford.  I can now narrow down to the styles and colors I love, incorporate them into wedding styling and beginning to plan my favorite time of the year!!! Hello Spring. This is the time where I'm planning tea parties, bridal showers and creating a line-up of fabulous brides to share in the biggest day of their lives. Let's Get Hitched!!!!

Above I have quickly created a visual list of Nina Fleurina's Favorite Spring things, colors and schemes. I don't know about Emerald but, Coral, Tangerine and Peach are my must-have Pantone color choices of the 2013 Spring/Summer Trends. Don't forget, incorporating these colors into you home decor and independent style. Also look for thrifty finds to mix and match with a modern design. It makes it, intimate, deliberate and personal.

@ Home with HM

Did I hear that right...? HM is launching a home collection in the US? Who-hoo! I didn't believe it when I first seen it. As I was surfing the net today I came across the cutest foreign website dedicated to party planning and sylish living, soooo Nina Fleurina called Hola Mama http://blog.holamama.es/. Although it's mostly in Spanish I manage to figure out from the pictures that H&M is launching a be-yond adorably chic home collection and this Spring my humble little abode will not only have a closet full of bright pink over-sized sweaters but stylish pillows, tableware and glasses all at an affordable designer price. Yipee!
