As an artisan and crafter I love making gifts. I think they're personable and thoughtful and should be given for every special occasion especially for the holidays. Here's a list of my favorite handmade gifts:

Feature Friday {Julie Nutting}

I've had the luxury of laying my eyes on the work of a wonderful artist. Julie Nutting is the creator of these amazing couture works of altered art. I've fallen in love since the very first day I spotted them. I mean they're fashionable, feminine and creatively couture what wouldn't I have liked about them.

I discovered her art at an Urban Barn event I was selling at this past summer...unfortunately she left before I got a chance to meet her but since then we've become acquainted via facebook {don't you just love facebook} I do. It didn't matter that we've never met because her art speaks to me every time I see it. I can't wait till I can own an original piece of her work. In the mean-time, feast your eyes on her work via my blog. I hope you fall in love as much as I have.

It's that time of year! Being a native {California Girl} I love my flip flops, can't live without them but when the weather gets breezy and the feet get cold, the body gets colder and only a cozy pair of socks and a warm blanket can cure that! My favorite pair of socks, are my super long thigh-high back with white stripe bobby socks! Check out these and share your favorite pair.

I woke up this morning wishing I was selling my stuff with my friends at a show in Redlands...totally bummed that I'm not I had to think of something that would definitely cheer "myself" up. So what other way to give myself a boost this wonderful Friday morning, then to give myself Flowers! {yes diamonds and pearls are good too} lol! It may not be a fist full but it's a whole post full. 100th Posts! Saaay What!

OMG! I can't believe I've achieved 100 anything! This will actually be my 102nd post but whoes counting..snicker. My thoughts and ideas move around so much I can barely make 100 bucks from my craft (Just Kidding) lol! But seriously, writing my blog is very theraputic which I'm sure some of you can agree. I do admit that it's not perfect by any means and if no one else reads it I truly enjoy going back and seeing my own progression over time which brings me to my recebt discoveries via my friend the talented Lisa Loria. We met several months ago at the Urban Barn and since then we've followed each others blogs and facebook post and decided to meet it was truly inspiring to have such a casual conversation with such a wonderful person we both became exstatic about being in love with Gypsy Purple, she filled me in on the latest events one I will be attending this week hosted by the Two Wild Roses and we laughed and had a great time this morning, she also shared a friend of her's (CreshendOh) website which is remarkable and I don't know what else to say it was just really, really nice. Thank you Lisa Loria for such a great time. Check out these wonderful blogs, you're sure to be inspired.

Last week I opened a new online shop on a site called SenseofFashion.com not only am I selling my vintage stuff that I have posted on Etsy but I'm also selling new H&M Jeans, Machine Jeans, Recycled and gently worn woman's apparel. I'm so excited, because I came across Jillian the beautiful and talented owner of RosieSunday a headband accessory designer that is fabulous. I instantly fell love her work...I think it's the prettiest I've seen in awhile. Soon I'll be wearing the lovely creations of Jillian's and selling her delicious hair accessories in my store. YUM!

Keeping myself busy as always, I've been out and about antiquing, picking up a few things while on vacation in New Mexico and at a few local antique shoppes. I also found myself snagging some great vintage dresses from the Pasadena Flea Market last Sunday and guess what??? I added everything to my Etsy Shoppe.

My friend Sherrie also played "Model For A Day" in our Falling Fleur vintage inspired photoshoot. We had so much fun it got me inspired to start doing a little photography of sorts so I'll be posting my personal portfolio over the next couple of months but in the meantime here's a few picks.
